中国质量新闻网讯(罗茗) 5月10日,2020中国品牌日系列活动第二届国际首席营销官(品牌官)高峰论坛在北京举行,本次论坛由国务院国有资产监督管理委员会和中国企业联合会指导,中国广告主协会主办,中国质量新闻网媒体支持。以下是世界广告主联合会总干事斯蒂芬的致辞。

Dear friends, dear colleagues

亲爱的朋友们 同事们

let me start by saying that I hope you

首先 我希望您

your friends, your families, your colleagues are all well and safe

及您的朋友、家人和同事都健康安全

These are truly exceptional circumstances

当前形势十分特殊

The world is on lockdown

世界各地都封闭了

and lockdown from Tokyo to Beijing

从东京到北京

and from Sao Pauloto New York

从圣保罗到纽约都处于封闭状态

I was very much looking forward to being with you

原本我十分期待出席活动

I very much enjoyed China Brand Day in Shanghai in 2019

2019年在上海举办的“中国品牌日”系列活动令人难忘

I thought the quality of the conference was exceptional

会议举办得很成功

and I very much enjoyed the conversations around China Brand Day

围绕“中国品牌日”的对话也十分精彩

I'm joining you today via video,

尽管今天我只能通过视频参加活动

but still I'm very happy to be part of your event

但能加入你们,我仍倍感高兴

Let me start by acknowledging

首先,值得肯定的是

the leadership of the CANA

中国广告主协会有着卓越的领导力

CANA is the national member station of WFA

中国广告主协会是世广联中代表中国的唯一合法代表

And I'd like to congratulate them

在此,我祝贺中国广告主协会

on organizing the second international summit of CMOS

成功举办第二届国际首席营销官(品牌官)高峰论坛

I'm absolutely convinced that today,

我坚信,在当前

more than ever before

比以往任何时刻

we need a close dialogue

我们都更需要加强沟通

between brand marketers and regulators

品牌营销人员和监管机构更需要开展密切对话

Brands have been doing a fabulous job in these exceptional times

品牌在这一特殊时刻发挥着独特作用

They've stepped up,

随着品牌的不断成长

they've become relevant and truly useful to consumers

各品牌与消费者息息相关,不可或缺

at a time where they're most needed

及时满足了消费者最迫切的需求

And in all this doom and gloom around the Corona crisis

当全球笼罩在新冠肺炎的阴影中时

there is a shimmer of hope

我们仍能看到希望的曙光

We have seen a research from adman

据广告商的一项调查显示

which shows how consumers are appreciating

消费者对品牌表示感激

and even expecting brands

并希望品牌

to play more of a role in the future

在未来发挥更大作用

In March, adman interviewed people

今年三月,广告商采访了

across 12 countries all around the world

来自12个国家的人

and these people said

受访者表示

the vast majority of them

他们中的大多数人

90% said they expected brands to play more of role

90%的人希望品牌能发挥更大作用

in this Corona crisis and in the future

不仅是在新冠肺炎期间,而且是在长远的未来

And 86% of them said

86%的受访者表示

they expected brands to step in

希望品牌能更好发挥作用

where governments could actually not deliver the needed services

以弥补政府未能切实满足群众需求的空缺

I'm actually convinced that

我坚信

the future post cover will look very different

未来的情形将发生改变

to what it looked a few months ago

与数月前截然不同

This could be more space for brands

百尺竿头,更进一步

but there's also can be more expectations with respect to brands

我们仍对品牌满怀期待

Brands will have to be more scented

品牌将更好地打动消费者

more relevant, more useful

更精准、更有力地服务消费者

in order to have a role to play in consumers lives

从而提高消费者生活水平

And I'm absolutely convinced that

我坚信

brands will be able to step up

品牌将大有可为

Let me wish you a very productive conference

希望大会圆满成功,硕果累累

And let me hope that very soon

相信不久

I will be able to see you in China

我将能与你们在中国共聚一堂
